Tigers Now 1-1

After allowing Hamilton to convert a turnover for an early touchdown, the Union County scored 40 unanswered points to pick up its first win of the 2008 season.

The Tigers answered the Hamilton's score when Chris Alexander connected with Deven Perry on a long TD pass. A successful 2-point conversion gave Union County an 8-7 lead.

The Baker County Wildcats controlled every aspect of their game Thursday night, with a dominating shutout of the visiting Union County Tigers, in their first game of the 2008 regular season. From the opening possession when the Baker Boys drove 80 yards for the first touchdown of the game, the Wildcats let loose a fierce power running offense that the Tigers defense was unable to stop.

The Cats weren’t the least bit affected by a shake up in their game week routine caused by school officials moving the game up a day in anticipation of inclement weather from Hurricane Hanna. READ MORE
