LAKE BUTLER — Friday’s homecoming game pitting Union County against Santa Fe was enough to make one Tiger legend smile and cringe at the same time. In a pre-game ceremony, former Gator and current Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Gerard Warren became the first Union County football player to have his number retired. The current Tigers celebrated by dancing all over a different Raiders, this one from Santa Fe, defensive line en route to a 49-22 win. “We lost to these guys last year, but I couldn’t play because I was hurt,” said senior Deven Perry, who led the charge with 131 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.
